Silk Twilly Compass Rose A line of navy and gold compass roses, connected by scrollwork, punctuates the cream ribbon between two navy stripes. Derived from the Compass Rose scarf, this twilly preserves its antique map vocabulary. The twilly is a silk ribbon folded lengthwise, with tapered points: it wraps around a bag handle, ties at the neck as a fine necktie, at the wrist as a bracelet or in the hair on a ponytail. It is the lightest and easiest silk accessory to wear in the range. The Wearing Experience Navy and gold: the twilly that dresses a navy or camel bag with the simplicity of a compass. The compass roses in a line read like medallions at the wrist. Wrapped in a spiral around a bag handle, it stays in place without slipping: the silk clings to itself and the flat knot finishes the spiral. At the neck, it ties in a small knot on the side or as a fine necktie under a collar: two turns are enough. Craftsmanship & Material The Compass Rose twilly is printed in Italy on a natural silk twill 100% silk, the same tight weave with subtle diagonal as our 90 scarves, recognizable by its dense feel and resistance to creasing. The printing is done in high definition, which reproduces the engraving line of the design, then fixed to withstand hand washing. The edges are hand-rolled: rolled and sewn with a needle, never machine-serged. The twilly is printed on a twill strip of 12 cm, then folded in half lengthwise and hand-rolled on its edges: the finished ribbon is 6 cm wide and 90 cm long, with the two points cut on the bias. The design is composed for half visibility once folded, and reads on both sides. Care for Your Piece The twilly washes flat in a few minutes, dries flat by stretching the points, and hardly needs ironing: it is the simplest silk piece to maintain.
